Default Rennline Front Tie Down/Jack Plate **Product Release** $70

Front Tie Down/Jack Plate **Product Release** $89.95 on Sale for the month of Jan for $70 a pair.

Securing a 997/996/Boxster or Cayman to a trailer is next to impossible without the use of wheel straps that are just about guaranteed to destroy your wheels in time. Save those expensive wheels with a set of inexpensive tie down hooks from Rennline. These hooks have been specifically engineered to bolt to the front of your car without any modification or removal of any factory torqued bolts. Another great feature of these hooks are that Rennline has incorporated a much needed jack pad that will allow you to easily lift the front of your car without the worry of damaging your rocker panel or plastic under trays. Hooks are constructed of steel and powder coated red. Each kit comes with (2) front hooks and all hardware needed for a 5 minute installation.

I've been thinking about rigging up something of my own like this for a while (I hate jacking from the stock points, because even with a hockey puck, its hard to center the jacking in such a way that no other panels are affected or touched. Good idea! What would be even better is if the nut was recessed to facilitiate jacking even more!

What a great idea. And in that color, no doubt they'll add at least 5bhp.

We were going to recess the bolt but it actually works out very nicely to stop the jack if it was to slip.

Looks great! I just need to flatten my jack points a little first. Some pea-brain must have either pulled the car onto a flatbed by putting chains into the jack point holes and/or secured the car this way, and distorted them on one side. If I can flatten this out your pads are on my list!

By the way, is there much chance that a lift (a dealer, for instance) might contact the lower portion during service and bend it?

There is plenty of room for lift feet on the pad without touching the hook area.
