yes everyone knows brembo is stock on Porsche, but they do not supply the 996 or 997 turbos with the 6 piston caliper or 15" rotor. I was trying to explain to you my kit is the aftermarket kit not the stock kit repainted.

Bizarre to me that you think it's OK to post something like this.

I'm just not sure what this car is. Is it a 996 GT3 modified to look like a 997 TT? It doesn't appear to have that much in the performance side of the house like supercharging or turbos added to it, yet it looks like it will give you a heck of a run for your money! I still don't get the yellow calipers.

OK OK Dan we get it, you spent a lot of money on PCCBs on your cab, so you object to him having yellow brake calipers for your own reasons. I might call that insecurity or price justification, but as he explained, those are the standard color for the 15 inch monster Brembos he upgraded the stock 996 turbo brakes from. They came that way. And he has made a major upgrade to stopping power compared to stop and likely compared to any smaller diameter PCCB. They are very, very high end brakes, and he needs them because his car is making 650 frickin horsepower after the turbo upgrades. Why keep picking this bone?

Best,
Hans

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't know what it started out as. If he's cranking out 650 PS then he's going to need all the brakes he can find,--regardless of the color!

WHATEVER....... I think the 996/997 looks fantastic....the best looking Porsche I have seen!!

I think that when you drive a creamy blue 997 with a poopie color interior you are a poseur...just Kidding!!

Very interesting. I found some carbon fiber ones online like the ones your photoshopped, I guess the modding never stops

Sorry to dig up this old thread..but do those 997 door handles easily swap with the 996 handles? I like the 997 handles much better. From a functionality standpoint, not just looks. I sometimes am annoyed by my 996 'lift' handle actuation when my hand slips off. Would much prefer the 997 "pull" type.

Totally wicked ; for all that plastic... it's an awesomely modded 996; no disrespect to the "unmolested" 996/997's GT3's, TT's...
