Default Battery Tray Acid

Did my pollen filter yesterday and spent a great deal of time cleaning up the battery tray dried acid. The drivers side battery drain hose is MIA.

Ummm, had this happen to me last year when my battery sulfated. In the course of replacing the battery, the dealer cleaned out the compartment thoroughly, including rinsing with water and baking soda to neutralize the acid. This year, I bought my own baking soda.

Phil, I think that was a good idea but I think you went a little overboard, don't you?

I had an issue with this as well. My drain was working but was next to the left fender well. Some acid leaked onto the inside fender and part of the brake line. My mechanic found this and treated before any major damage occurred. But it was covered by the fender liner so you would not see it without removing this liner.
