Turning off PSM does NOT disable TC, Traction Control, which is what is responsible for the "virtual" rear LSD. And sacrificing PSM in order to have a mechanical LSD seems a bit foolish. On the track at Daytona I discovered that provided my own refexes were quick enough to crank in "yaw" corrections PSM did not intervene.

I think this is a great thread. I track my car and I've also been wondering how much more stable I'd be out of turns with a LSD. I don't know much about the mechanics of the different LSds on the market, but I do agree with you all that this is a mod worth $1-2K if not for track, for more safety/predicatbility on the streets at the very least.

While I'm sure there are others out there, Talk to Steve @ Rennsport systems as he's super helpful on this topic. I need to get off my rear and decide which route I'm going, if any, this winter.
I'm convinced the re-gear is the way to go though it's more expensive up front and for the install too.

Have you ever driven your 911 in the rain, or over
I've driven or been in I want to say 4 996 MKII GT3s, they all had chatter, some worse than others. It's only noticeable in parking lots. The LSD equipped C2s don't have this issue, which I'm guessing is due to the lock up ratio not being as aggressive.
