Default 2000 Millenium Edition 996

I have a close friend who has an opportunity to acquire a 2000 996 Millenium Edition. It has 12,000 miles, one owner and perfect in every way. It is number 336 of 911 made. Violet Chromaflair paint with natural leather and burl walnut trim. Center console is even full leather. Wheels are chrome turbo twist. Obviously a garage queen. It is a C4 3.4 L car and no warranty issues or engine replacement.

Does anyone have an opinion of a reasonable price for this car? The current owner is thinking $45K while I think $30 to $33K is more in line and perhaps even a bit high.

Thanks for any feedback.

I looked at a similar one in Toronto in July. They are a lot more expensive up here. They wanted $45k Cdn and I laughed.

5k over current market , so more like 33k-37k since it low miles, must have up to date records.... etc, etc.

If it's perfect and I was selling it, I'd ask $35k and negotiate down to $32.5k.

Personally I would not buy a very low mileage 996 such as this out of warranty. Price - $31-35K. at most. Soon 2001 TT in the mid to high 30's will be common place. A lot more car for the money. However miles will be higher but at least the engine is better.
