The other question would be...does Phil plan to use his new Audi TT in the snow, or will it sit in his garage next to his sad and lonely 996?

You already have an excellent collection of jokes right here at rennlist.
Just compile them, and put it for sale.

I would be the first to buy the book!
What do you think?

John,

I think that has merit. I have most of the material I need, and I am sure Phil will furnish more topics in the weeks and months to come.

A few chapter titles could be:
  • Understanding your warranty - 4/50 does not mean 4,000 miles or 50 years
  • Batteries 101
  • Farmers have crop circles made by little green monsters, Phil has little green dash circles made by man a.k.a. RTFM!
  • Keep on Truckin' a.k.a. Joining the guys for a spirited drive.... with your car on a flatbed truck
  • How to single handedly reduce our dependence on foreign oil
  • Vroom, Vroom!! a.k.a. Fun in the driveway
  • The 4th great lie known to man a.k.a I'm going to drive it!
  • Fun with Threapy a.k.a. How I bought my Threapist three Porsches
  • If you think I'm Nuts, you should meet my brother!
  • Tires 101 a.k.a. You're telling me that tires can rot?

As you can see, I can't decide whether to laugh or cry. After seeing the pic of my car in the snow, I'm sitting in the garage under a cover!!! BTW Tim, I want to make sure I have the right address for the Honda forum, since I'm ready to join you on it. What's that address again? Oh, yeah, it's www.hondaPOS.com?. Another thing, my battery can sulfate, my tires can rot, the little green circle can burn out on the dash, my therapist can build a 6,000 square foot villa on Antigua ... but my Porsche will NEVER see snow!!! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!!!

Well, that is why I did the winter wonderland pic. At least now you know what you car would look like in the snow, without having to experience it personally.

Nice work Tim. I can hear Phil gnashing his teeth from here.

Gotta admit, I'm not sure that any Porsche of Phil's will ever see snow... look at it this way - I've inspected Phil's car and the wheel wells are beyond concours quality and have an erie iridescent shine - there's no way that he would ever risk getting dirt in there - it would take decades to get out.

Snow?!? Hell, it took me three days just to get the bugs off the bumper after our NJ ride last Spring!!

Yep, the TT's a DD! In fact, I personally swapped out the RS4 19" wheels/summer tires for 18" OEM wheels and Pirelli A/S for the winter last week. I'm ready for anything. Well, almost anything.

BTW, I have to admit, Tim's pic of my car "in the snow" is by far his best work. I had to chuckle at that one. Damn funny stuff.

Phil, make a note to yourself that the next time you on a group ride, make sure the flatbed truck has a front wind screen.

Phil, I appreciate the compliment. It took a while, but it was well worth it. Besides that, it was a good break from looking for a job!

You have always been a good sport for taking all of my ribbing!

Enjoy! You too, Phil!
