Another thing, my battery can sulfate, my tires can rot, the little green circle can burn out on the dash, my therapist can build a 6,000 square foot villa on Antigua ... but my Porsche will NEVER see snow!!! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!!!
Phil, you are not going to believe this!!!!

Just for the hell of it, I clicked on the link you created (www.hondaPOS.com) and here is what I found. The link took me to a page that did a search on "POS" and "Honda" and the 3rd link on the page was this.... POS Honda Electronics. I am NOT making this up... click on the link and read the first post and you will get a good laugh.

While they are talking about a Honda motorcycle, I find it ironic that you inadvertently created an indirect link to a thread where someone is calling his Honda a POS..... but wait, it gets even better.... the best part is that the guy is having a battery charging problem! How great is that?????

I was laughing so hard that I had tears in my eyes. I think you got the site name backwards... I guess the POS part comes first.

PS (it was hard to type that <== without the "O") I am flattered that you have a Winter Avatar.

  • Farmers have crop circles made by little green monsters, Phil has little green dash circles made by man a.k.a. RTFM!
  • Keep on Truckin' a.k.a. Joining the guys for a spirited drive.... with your car on a flatbed truck
  • How to single handedly reduce our dependence on foreign oil
  • Vroom, Vroom!! a.k.a. Fun in the driveway
  • The 4th great lie known to man a.k.a I'm going to drive it!
  • Fun with Threapy a.k.a. How I bought my Threapist three Porsches
  • If you think I'm Nuts, you should meet my brother!
  • Tires 101 a.k.a. You're telling me that tires can rot?

TIM!! you are super creative!! Your posts make me laugh quite loudly
around here.

On a serious note, what do you do, and what kind of job are you looking for?
I wish I could help.

John - thanks for the kind words! I'm glad I can put a smile on someone's face every now and then.

Nice photoshop! Looks good enough to scream!

I'm sittin' here trying to envision my car in that photo. Gives me the creeps.
It is the dead of winter here, but, bravely, I drove my car to work today.
(Clear blue skies, soft breeze, temp will be in the low 80's today).
I better throw another (immitation) fire log in my (immitation) fire place.

Beats driving a HONDA! LOL!

Actually, in my closet life, I bought my wife a 2007 Honda Civic EX coupe (Atomic Blue), in the summer of 2007 before the gas prices REALLY went up. Not that I knew anything, just dumb good luck.
When I test drove it at the dealership, I got a very funny feeling inside that I only get when I test drive new Porsches. PLEASE do not ban me from Rennlist or the 996 Forums, but I REALLY LOVE that car! This past summer it got the nod for our summer vacation, averaging right around 40MPG for the 3,000 mile trip. And it just feels so... nice!

The Weinermobile does not see snow or icy roads, either. It has a 17 foot WHEEL BASE. Chassis and brakes are from a basic standard half-ton pick-up, with a little stretch in the middle.
But it will flat blow the tassles off the Hershey's Kisses-mobile!

Big Red is officially 10 years old this month. Still drives as sweet as new. I guess I would be tempted to drive it a lot less in the winter months if I lived north of Florida.

I can't win. I drive the red Porsche, or I drive the Weinermobile. Either way I am accused of "compensating" for something.

Expecting 12" of snow tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how the DD handles it. Of course, my real P Car is safely tucked away in the garage for the winter. Wouldn't dream of getting snow or salt on my baby.

Greetings from the 993TT board.
