seat rail bolts called?
i was planning to swap the seats in my boxster today but discovered the bolts holding the rails to the floor were unlike any i have seen.
anyone know what these are called.
anyone know where to buy the socket or tool i need?

Those are torx bolts. You can get sockets to fit them at Sears.

The New Caliper Bolts are now using this screw config. I had to use my old caliper bolts because I did not have a torex socket large enough. Its worth the investment.

Just an FYI - Torx bits are unique and excellent BUT in a pinch a regular HEX (allen) wrench WILL fit in the head and work... try it, you will be surprised but you need metric allen wrenches... Best is use Torx drivers, but like I said, emergency.... allen will work.

those are not torx fittings....Loren posted the correct nomenclature for that bolt head. You can get the whole dogone set of them at Harbor Frieght for the cost of just the E13 at Sears. They're more of a Star fitting.
