Wow, so few posts today... you can almost hear the echo.... is that because the site has been up and down like a yo-yo, or have people been off doing other things?

 

I'm here, but it has been quieter lately.

 

I see that. I've been busy with other things, so haven't had a chance to stop by... I was amazed at how quiet it was when I get a chance to check this evening.

I'm sitting here suffering from cake overdose... my son's 3rd birthday.

I have been driving all I can, working on it when I can and getting the kids to school.. busy time of year is right...plus since people are SO BROKE you would think they would be doing FREE things like posting stupid questions about why car sales are so low...

I see - impressive that you found the problem and fixed it so quickly.

Yeah - I'm looking forward to some high speed driving this weekend at the Rennlist NY/NJ drive. It will give me a chance to blow out some of the cobwebs and play for a day.

The combination of work and new baby has really killed any free time I never had.

Next week I'm up in MA on business for most of the week - a fin trip, but a long week.

I would enjoy some high speed driving this weekend, but my POS Honda won't go over 47 MPH.... down hill!!!!

But the good news is that my daughter is flying down to Dallas tomorrow evening to spend a long weekend with us. I haven't seen her since May.

I hope you have a good time with your daughter - take her shopping for a Porsche, show her a quart of oil, take her for BBQ.

 

Its hard to balance the kids and the "me" time but both are really important. Not only do the kids turn 10 before you know it, but you hair turns grey too. Time is by far my most prized thing I have (or have not)

I drove with a group from the 928 forum last weekend (search posts from me) we had a seriously great time and those V8's are fun to go drive with. - took my son and it was a great day for us both!!!

Yeah, it is VERY hard to balance, Kids, Life..work and actually having some "me time" I so damn tired all the time.
I am completely bummed that I am going to miss Leslie drive this weekend, My wife's mother is sick so we have to head to upstate NY to visit, 5 and a half hour drive with a 16 month old and 2 German short haired pointers. Oh boy!

 

Had a GSP before current Labs. Was an amazing HIGH energy dog that could jump things like an Olympic athlete! Loved that dog!

I think that things are quiet on the forum because I for one am trying real hard not to listen to any more doom and gloom on the TV/Internet?Newspapers etc.....too much of a self fulfilling prophesy when you are bombarded by so much negative that you want to go hide in a hole somewhere for the next year or two when really it is the average joe that needs to go out and spend some money to get things slowly moving again.

Happy 3rd B-day!!

I was sworn in to become a US citizen yesterday and was running around applying for a US passport so I can leave for my business trip nextweek.

Woo Hoo! Its been 11 yrs in the making.

I may be able to make it to the drive this Sunday. Will confim tomorrow. Hope to see everyone there before winter.
