Default New DPE Wheels

Well, I finally have the wheel dilemma solved and have settled on a set of DPE R16S wheels. For those of you who are interested, I just listed the previously ordered DPE R06 Variant S wheels in the classifieds. Great deal for a custom set of forged aluminum wheels.

Anyhow, here are a few quick pics of the new DPE wheels that I plan to keep... I've said that before too!

DPE makes several wheels in 1 piece config, but these are two piece, then welded together.

The offsets are standard Porsche fitment 42mm (f) & 50mm (r). I am running 225x40s in the front and 285x30s in the back. The car has the M030 suspension.

They look nice!
Are they ligther than Porsche SportDesign wheels?

They seem to be bigger than 18", I think 'cause of the design

They are 18" and yes they are significantly lighter than the Sport Design wheels. My Sport Designs were 25lbs (front size 18x7.5) and 29lbs (rear 18x10). These new DPEs are 20 and 22lbs respectively. Big difference in weight.

Nice! I have the same finish on my Work Brombachers. Brushed center with anodized lip.

It's a good improvement

You were right choosing 18"

Thanks for the positive comments. I was looking for something different for quite a while and wanted to stick with 18"s from a weight and performance perspective, and due to the cost difference in the tires.

DPE is a excellent company for custom forged wheels. The service was top notch and they were very professional during the entire transaction. They sent me several emails throughout the process to let me know what was happening at each point along the way... most companies just don't do that anymore.

My brother has used DPE for years for his M cars so I though I would give it a go as opposed to the traditional BBS, Fikse, HRE, iForged, Champion, etc... I actually purchased two sets, and decided on the mesh design over the split 6-spokes that are for sale. Both sets are awesome wheels.
