Fuel cap and wing?

Fuel cap and wing?
Today I went to fill up and the fuel fill cover would not open and I had to use the manual opener in the passenger side door. When I got back home I noticed the wing had deployed (I never had the car over 60 I am sure) and did not drop back down. Do you think the two are related? How can I retract the wing?
Thanks,
Joe

Welcome!
I think what our friends were trying to say is that the Carrera does not have a fuel door release. The two releases are for the trunk and engine compartment. The switch for the wing is in the driver's side footwell. None of these are related to the fuel door (which is opened just by pushing on it), or the wing.
It's always good to have someone new join us here on Rennlist. It's customary for new memers to post photos of their car and a history.

I think you're engine is blown.
Either that, or maybe your doors were locked? The fuel door locks also when the doors are. I can't account for the wing. Try lowering it manually and see if it happens again. If this is all wet, try posting your question on Renntech. Loren seems to know everything.

Im sure that his wing and the fuel pull is a totally separate and unrelated coincident.
Im curious if his spoiler light stays on after he re-starts his car... he may have a wing limit switch issue...
BUT... Im with you on "where the hell is the PICS" thing...

Yup, I know where that "pull" is and dont know where the pics are...
I agree, maybe the doors are locked OR there is a central locking issue... either way the fuel door can be opened with the pull and if there is still a problem, then have the locking system checked... spoiler up... PTHHH that little thing??? you call that a spoiler!!
OH off topic..

Thanks for your help. I am not a newbie but use the list on occasion not the forum. I never had a problem with the fuel cover before and the spoiler never deployed and not retracted back before. It just seemed like too much of a coincidence. I thought they might share a fuse or something.
