I ended up buying a refurbished one from Becker of North America....you send in your old one in the box they send you, and you get a $75 rebate for the "core". I think I ended up paying about $275 for a replacement after the rebate. Their radios come completely refurbished with a waranty and no **** peeling or deterioration. (That was the CDR 220) Prior to that I went the eBay route and was shafted on a radio that didn't work and the guy refused to refund my money. Sometimes it doesn't pay to try to get the cheapest solution to your problem.

fyi to all..
I just spoke to Becker in NJ..
I can get a refurb with a 1 year warranty to me for $263 shipped..
I will probably do that unless someone he has a nice one for cheap..

I have one that I replaced with the traffic-pro, works but you would have to get the replacement stickers for top buttons or use your existing faceplate, I believe they are interchangeable. Since I am already giving away a vent this week, I'll give mine to you.
