"The soonest they can have one to you is Wedensday. Wait or refund?
Cheers Dayton"

I responded "can you guarantee wednesday?" - He never responded.
I have called 4 times since last week, and another giuy always answers and takes a message. No one ever calls me back.

I opened a dispute with the CC company and even that doesnt phase him.

Does anyone know if MASHAW makes a replica 996 AERO deck wing???

SORRY TO ALL - Im not trying to whip a dead horse, but I feel better knowing that I'm detailing this event as a reference with the hopes that NO ONE ever uses this vendor again.

Glad to hear that the dispute has been filed. It will be interesting to see how the parts that you already have are handled. It might be best to make a clean break and return everything for a full refund. You know how I feel about my latest dealing with DPS. I'm amazed that they stay in business with customer service like this.

As for other wings - as far as I can tell the MAShaw wing appears to be closer to the OEM wing than the DPS one. I spoke with Mike Shaw and he said that the upper plane is adjustable to the upper position, so you end up with a 2 position wing rather than the fixed DPS wing - otherwise Mike said that his wing was a good copy of the OEM wing (well, he actually said "better", but I'll leave it at that until I actually see one)

Dominick,

This has been a horrible train wreck to watch, sorry man!

Give Mike Shaw a call, dont bother with email. I am VERY pleased with my wing and Mike was a pleasure to deal with. If you buy from Mike you will have it in a week I am sure.

That is just so hard to swallow. Anyway, hope you get the car looking the way you want soon.

Cool! So, did you dispute the entire amount? How did you handle the parts that you already have?

I assume that Dayton is still not returning your calls?

I happen to have an old email where he quoted me $1150 for just the rear deck lid.
I disputed that amount

Excellent! Although, I'm now even more pissed that he charged me $1950 for the same wing with paint and delivery.

Now I really wonder what his true margin is. I think we are in the wrong line of work...

Hey, I don't have a problem with a vendor making money and giving me what I perceive to be a fair price so I wont ding the guy on that BUT one would expect that the vendor could actually deliver the promised parts and not lie and mislead the customers

Marc,

We are a small knit community. It would surprise me if we don't find out. We will PM each other pricing on everything if requested.

As a vendor, you should at the very least establish uniform pricing to a specific market. You can have different pricing to different markets but such a dramatic price difference within the same market makes me wonder if he knows what he is doing.

I agree with that, certainly.. but Wellard's wing did add prep, painting and delivery where Dominick's was just the quote on the wing. High for sure.... especially when you consider the paint job was substandard!

Time for some Dr. Phil tough love........

It absolutely amazes me that y'all continue to use this *** clown. There are SO MANY threads identical to this one where you are promised one thing by Dayton (great product and great prices) then bent over hard, lied to, delayed, etc, and yet y'all continue to hope all the past BS were anomalies. ERRRRRRRRR!!!! Wrong answer.

Perfect example, the bumper was NOT returned b/c of damage. One, that is rare. Two, if you believe it, then ask for the tracking number and call FedEx to make sure that is the tracking number for you (ie, is the delivery address yours and was the ship date as promised). I guarantee no such tracking exists and that story was made up to buy more time.

In the future, post to the forum, ask about experiences and if you get NEGATIVE input ala Motor Meiser, LA Dismantlers, DPS, ets, run the **** away! If you don't then you have yourself to blame.
