Don't pay any attention to the 13" wheels, the hood scoop, the driving lights above the windshield, and the side pipes. I wanted to take this baby off roadin' so I jacked her up about 9" to increase the ground clearence.

Sweet, huh?

[QUOTE=ivangene;5739702]a coffee can also works to cover the hole while it rains... but I think it blows off if the motor is on...(unlike the flapper thing) ?[QUOTE] We roll with a clear mason jar on the farm-all here....

Default Yes, answer is no. So very little moisture remains in hot exhaust contained in ....

exhaust pipe after engine shut off no need to worry about.

Worse is short trips with no time for engine/exhaust to get good and hot.

But in this case, early failure of exhaust system likely least of your worries.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Man if the flapper only had a little handle you could "flush" from inside it would give me something to do while I wait 5 seconds before starting the engine....

something like this:

that would rock!

You silly rich folks in tobacco country have too much money. . . . Phhhssshhh . . . put it in the barn. Geez, we just throw a dang empty 5 gallon bucket over it when we are done with the tractor out here in Arkansawwww. Yeah, it gets a little melty if you put it on there too soon after shutting off the engine, but then again, we aren't smart as those folks over in Virginia who use mason jars or that other guy using a coffee can. Heck, we can't spare any mason jars 'cause everyone knows you only use those for sippin' sweet tea and nobody 'round here has any spare coffee cans 'cause we use those to store all the extra grease from cookin' bacon and sausage at breakfast. Gotta keep that grease so you can make gravy the next mornin' and cook french fried 'taters at dinner and make collard greens taste like momma used ta make.
