Default WHERE THE HELL DO I FIND REJEX IN SAN DIEGO??

Hey everyone, I'm going to paint my calipers tomorrow (bought the Duplicolor caliper paint kit). I want to let them dry the whole day & night & then put Rejex on them the next day so they stay as shiny & clean as possible, plus I figure since I'm taking the wheels off & everything, I might as well give them a super good cleaning & put Rejex on them as well. So, anyone know where I can find it? I tried Pep Boys, Autozone, & True Value (Rejex site says True Value carries it), & no luck. I'd like to find it here in San Diego so I can go buy it tomorrow. If I order it, then I have to wait until next Thursday to do the caliper job (Thursday is the only day I can do it, for a very long reason I won't get into, lol). I've already put off doing this for about 3 weeks (didn't have time to go buy the kit) & I don't want to wait any longer. You know how that is. I got bit by the mod bug & want to do as many things as possible NOW.

Rejex is a polymer sealant, similiar to wax, but supposedly it lasts way longer, makes your car much easier to clean, & leaves it much shinier than any wax. I wouldn't know, since I've never tried it, but I've only heard good things about it. Here's their site: http://www.rejex.com/rejex.html

...& as far as the Thursday story: I work Monday, Wednsday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday, ALL DAY, so I have no time on any of those days. Tuesdays & Thursday, I'm in university classes, & I'm free after 4. I have to do it Thursday, because that day I'll jack up the car, remove the wheels, clean, prep, & paint the calipers, & clean the wheels/coat them with Rejex during the 15 min intervals between the paint coats. Then the next day in the morning I can put on the PORSCHE sticker & spray on the clear coat. Then the day after that I'll put on the Rejex & put the wheels back on. If I did that on Tuesday, I'd be done by late Thursday (& therefore would have to miss a day of school). But if I do it on a Thursday, then I don't miss anything (I can have someone give me a ride to work, but not to school since it's about an hour long drive). That's the story, happy?

Where the hell do you live? Down here in San Diego it rains for like 5 minutes every 300 years, lol.

I believe bumperplugs carries rejex.

I was told that the polymer blends weren't good for most European paints. I don't know how accurate that is though.

I live a stones throw east of Seattle. Here its SUNNY about 40 minutes every 300 days or so... (I think we had nearly 4 inches of rain this WEEK..new records set)
I will look into this product. I have yet to take my wheels off, but they need to be cleaned BAD... it WAS sunny for a spell so I opted to "drive while I could" then clean for the next 11 1/2 months? GEEZ this thing better shine like hell come spring (another season that lasts several minutes in these parts)
I am surprised at how many people are doing painting..Makes me want to try some small parts out and work up to something like my chipped up hood. Anything "special" or are you just in the garage?

I'ld love some pics of your set up or details on what you are doing.. you make it sound easy (but I know there is plenty more than meets the monitor)

RejeX is a great product. I use on the wheels and leading edges like the front bumper and mirrors. Bugs and brake dust wash of with soap (Z7) and water.

Eric does have it at bumperplugs. You can also google it and find good deals. Lots of airplane supply places carry it since it works great on planes.

kunkstyle: I would like to personally tell you that Rejex is fantastic for 996 paint. I have used it for over 5 years on my 996 including the wheels and glass with fantastic results.

90% of the Rejex purchases are done online. BumperPlugs is a great place to order it.

or go to West Marine and get Star brite Premium Marine Polish with PTEF. Essentially the same as Rejex. A pure polish, no abrasives, with polymer technology, shines like crazy (PTEF is generic Teflon), was ruled an "unfair advantage" by the America's Cup organizers some years back because it make the boats faster. I use it on my paint, wheels and windshield

I put Rejex on my boat and picked up 5 kts. Accept no substitute.

With Rejex, the Orient Express now tops out at over 200 mph!

Reduded drag = increased speed...
Might have to try this out for sheer "unfair advantage"

Just wanted to add another positive comment for Rejex. I discovered it after reading up on a corvette forum years ago. Now several cars later I still use it. I put it on everything... motorcycles (great on the rims, no brakedust or chain wax sticks), cars, brake calipers, windows, my guitars, etc.

I've heard people say they have bought some at boat stores but I've always had to order it from online before.

Awesome product. Wash with Dawn dish soap, clay bar, wash again. Apply/buff off Rejex. Let car cure in your garage for 24 hours. Apply/buff off Rejex again. Cure again. You'll be very pleased.

Tell your local True Value store it's in their warehouse and they can have it delivered to their store free of charge. That's what I was told after inquiring directly with Rejex. After calling True Value and being told they never heard of it, I explained the response from Rejex and they looked it up on their system and they were able to get it for me in 2 days.
