Default Got weighed today?

I have always wondered what the Orient Express weighs, so I found a truck scale and weighed the car. An 02 996 C2 cab, I had a full tank of gas and myself on the scale, and it came out to 3580 lbs., 1440 lbs. on the front wheels and 2140 lbs on the rear wheels. 40/60.

Now that I have the weight of the car, I can download the "must have" application for my iPhone. or only $13 you can download the Dynolicious G-meter software for your iPhone or iTouch.

If you have 7 minutes, Click here for a live review and test comparing Dynolicious to the G-Tech Pro, and an actual dyno and drag stip test.

Gotta have it!

May I ask how much you weigh? Any extra accessories or anything removed from the car?
Thanks

I like the 25% drivetrain loss on the cooper. Open mouth and insert crack pipe.

I believed my Tip weighed 3250?

Subract about 185 for me, but the car is pretty much stock, as delivered.

I wonder what the other variations of the 996 weigh?

Coupe, 4S, GT3, GT2, Turbo Coupe, Turbo Cab, Targa? Anyone got the weights of these cars? I bet I am one of the heaviest cars.

6GT3 w/half cage, euro gt3 seats, 1/2 tank no driver=3224.

On the other hand, the RS6 is 4302 with 1/2 tank no driver. And since its the anti-911 with the motor out front of the front axle line it likes to push it's way through the corners.

Default A gallon of Gas weighs:

At 60 degrees Fahrenheit, a gallon of gasoline weighs about 6.15 pounds. So if the fuel tank has a capacity of 16.9 gallons (inc. reserve), or 104 lbs.

The dry weight of my 996 Cabriolet is 3291 lbs.

The owners manual has dry weights for all the variants for that particular year (not GT3 or GT2) for tip and standard in the back, but specifies a range (qualified as depending on equipment, e.g. satnav, bose stereo, full leather, wood, etc.)

I just spent some time searching this out, many of the user reviews had the same point... crashes and wont load car specs (which is required forHP measurments) It is supposed to load on iphone or ipod touch. The info I have says its great, but needs refining to be all it says it is, still for $13 (vs $100-$300 for G-force) it might give you enough to decide if you need more or can live with this much...

Something tells me after a few 100 times of running, many will grow tired of it and not use it, so the money saved is well worth the money spent...

Now back to you Ted

Errr .... Ed I meant
