Default OT Model 997.5 the RMS final solution?

but interesting that I read the new 911s just released have entirely new engines, not just direct injection and wet dual clutch sequetial 7 gears.
The 3.6 engines grow from 3596 to 3614 cc ( bore from 96 to 97 mm and stroke from 82.8 to 81.5 mm)
The 3.8 engines get a reduction in capacity from 3824 to 3800 cc (bore 99 to 102 mm and stroke 82.8 to 77.5 mm)
The engines sit an inch lower in the chasis. Power and torque is up and fuel consumption is down.

Porsche needs to buy Toyota RMS's and then machine the crank journal and cases to Toyota's specs.

Put this finally to rest so I never have to read about this again.

The case is now made of 2 pieces (not 4).

FSI also allows higher compression ratio, something like 12.5:1, which of course gives more power.

I'm not sure I ever cared about the leaky seal, it's the intermediate shaft that scares me, and still seems to fail (but I have no idea of the frequency, just mechanic/tech hearsay) even in the latest updates. Let's hope this new M97?? variant has it licked!
