Great looking car. Should be a hoot to drive. Love the S2.
2 observations at looking in your engine bay:
1. The brake fluid has not been changed in a while, and I would highly recommend a brake flush. Your fluid is black.
2. Your coolant has also not been changed in a while, and so I would recommend a flush and new fluid. I would also suggest that you spring for a new coolant overflow tank. Yours is probably very brittle with age and ready for a new one.
If you expect the car to do extreme duty like tracking, then these 2 things will be mandatory.

Not to worry gents, the car is going to have a thorough mechanical overhaul. All wear items, fluids, and components. The list is long, but must be done in order to make it durable and ready for track abuse.
My first step includes - Gut and prep the interior. Then pull the trans and overhaul the clutch / fly / and torque tube. Next up, the crack the motor and possibly overhaul it. Much to check on before I decide on the final direction.
I am sure this will all take time. I am perfectly fine with that. Just want the job done right.

Chad -- great car -- should we be surprised that it's white?
Clean motor, too!
I saw a few of these, both n/a and Turbos, at the autocross Sunday.
What a nice clean design that seems to never age.
-- Tim -- check your couch for change and get this:

Guess what?! It's white!
Picked up a 1989 Porsche 944 S2 for track duty. Hard to believe the condition of this car when I picked it up today. Would you believe 147,000 miles on her? Exterior looks fantastic and the interior is about the same.
Track prep coming...fast, stay tuned.
