Default i like the meguiar's quik detailer

i picked up a bottle at target, just to give it a try.

the product is called: meguiar's ultimate quik detailer w/ hydrophobic polymer technology.

it's main claim to fame is that it's a good protectant between wash and wax. it takes 12 hours to cure after spray on/wipe off application. i found that during our mini-monsoon season here in michigan, that water does bead as advertised and i can easily restore the like-washed shine after drying the car.

since i'm planning on refinishing my wheels anyway, i applied some to my wheels as well. found that the brake dust seems to come off more easily in between washings.

and no, i have 0 affiliation with meguiar's or target.

EDIT: i paid $9.99 + tax for a 22 oz./650 ml bottle. so it's pretty cheap.

I'm not sure if it's any different than the old version of the Quick Detailer, but I've had great luck with it for years. It makes the paint feel like glass and makes it easier to remove pollen.

I used to use this product exclusively in the past, and I recently swithched. I REALLY like the mother's quick detailer...it absolutely does not streak and does a great job.

i usually use mother's, but tried the meguiar's on a lark. both products seem to work equivalently well.

If you think Mother's is good on the Porsche, you should experience it on "WOOD" floors. It is AMAZING.

I've seen race guys who have cases of this stuff in their trailers to keep the car looking good w/o washing it.

I use this too.
Car duster, then regular quick detailer for the bugs, then ultimate QD. My car almost never sees water...

Meguiar's stuff is good. I've used a bunch of detailers and they are all just about the same to me. I use this now. Good stuff and it smells good lol.

I have tried Meguiar’s quick detailer but prefer Speed Shine from Griot’s Garage.

I've been impressed with other Griot's products in the past. Why do you like their detailer better? I might want to give it a try. Is it much more expensive?

the ultimate quick detailer is based on their nxt 2.0, and while I'm all stocked up on detailing product, I will definitely try it when I run out out of Zaino Z8
