Glad to hear your o.k.,could have been a lot worse.

Take advantage of the opportunity and spend some $$$ and upgrade;

-gt3 front bumper

-Litronics

I spun out my 99' 986 last year in the first rain of the year at a meet. It was damn embarassing but at least I'm not dead.

Good Luck!

Haven't seen you post for awhile CP, now I know why. Crashing sucks and your car crumpled to help save the occupant(s) inside. Hope you're on the mend...good luck with the repair.

CP, sorry to hear about the accident. I'm glad you don't have any major injuries. I hope you recover quick and you are able to get the car fixed with a minimum of hassle.

Barn996 - I've been offline for a awhile mostly b/c I was getting too wrapped in the OT forum - as if it were about anything real. As soon as I had an actual *car* issue, I knew this was the place to be.

Mark - if they could rebuild it the way you can, I'd be a lot happier. As it is, I'm hoping it totals out. Your latest project looks amazing in your avatar, BTW.

pissedpuppy - no PSM. Downhill curve on highway with puddle at the apex. After a lifetime of lifting when I feel the start of hydroplaning, that's what I did. This time, I spun. Whether that's because of the engine out back, or because of the particular situation, I don't know. But I wasn't driving anymore; I was on a ride.

Up in the air. Adjuster hasn't seen it yet. Assuming it isn't totalled, I'll have it fixed by Dick's Auto Body in Somerville, MA, where it's being towed tomorrow, probably.

If it's totalled, I'll work on getting a fair settlement from my insurer and then decide what to do. Nothing rash.

You have the right attitude CP, hope it works out whether it's deemed totaled or not.

Have never been a fan of Pzeros, and even before it was mentioned in the thread, I could see the little red tag on the side of the tire. I recently made the move to the Bridgestones (I know, non N-rated) and they are delightful in the rain. You may want to give them a try next time round.

I once hydroplaned off a highway in an old Acura when I was in high school. It is the least fun thing I can remember from those days.

Gretch,

Thanks for the words. Excellent point, but just to let everyone know, I've totalled two.

First was a 1984 944. I totalled it in 1985. I was a teenager.
