I wouldn't worry about the seat, it can easily get torn like that. It happened in my 964 when I sat in the car with a screwdriver sticking out of my left pocked and cut the leather when I got out of the car.

I was thinking the same thing....it could have been that the owner wore something that really abused the seat right there....maybe a .45 in the ol' waist band for instance.

These cars are awesome....... FYI, I've seen this car on ebay several times over the last few years. White, my favorite color. anyone got some shoe polish?

Eric, I'm glad to see you still have your sense of humor. I'm sorry to read about your continuing saga getting your 996 repaired. My project car budget is gone for a while. I enjoy buying and fixing them up...I just seem to have a problem parting with them.
