SpeedTV's Supercars Exposed: Hennessey Ford GT1000 vs Porsche Carrera
Hennessey GT1000 vs Porsche Carrera
I was invited to participate in SpeedTV's Supercars Exposed along with a lot of other really cool cars. If you've seen Supercars Exposed, its a show on unique and fast cars and their owners with a host that puts these cars to the test to see their potential.
This particular episode was the "Ultimate Street Car Challenge" shoot out. Everything from a 650hp Pantera to LP640 to a 1000whp Hennessey Viper TT ... the best from the U.S., Italy, Germany, even Japan! The event was held at the beautiful Los Alamitos Air Field since they were unable to get Wilshire Blvd. in downtown LA. The smooth, straight air strip was awesome... no speed limit, private, hosted by the friendly men and women of the US Military, smooth as silk, and filled with some of the world's fastest cars.
The event was elimination challenge on a road course to see the strengths and weaknesses of each car. One-on-one racing through the course and whoever gets through the finish line first, wins. As you win, you move up in the bracket and race other winners, until only one car stands...

It was pretty damn exciting... its not everyday you get to see these cars, much less see them at their limits. The US Reserve guys were kind enough to let us get into a Blackhawk and check out some other helicopters.
The road-course layout: standing start, straight away for about 300 yards then chicane, turn, another turn, then large sweeper, and then straight away for about 1/4 mile.
To determine your pairing and bracket, we each had numbers, then the soldiers drew randomly out of a helmet. When 2 numbers were chosen, they were paired and you two were racing... and just my luck, I get paired up with the 1000HP Twin Turbo Hennessey Ford GT 1000... :yup:
HUGE thanks to the men and women serving our country, SpeedTV, Tanner, and all friends that were able to make it for the show!

Saw this show the other night, and had to rewatch it.
WTF is in that 996 that won? Is that yours? Simply amazing.
The 996 vs 996 was fantastic.

yea the Indy-driver in the Viper told me that that once he hit the straight he hit the scrabble button to hit high-boost and his tires slipped at about 150mph right before the finish line and proceeded to slide for about 300 yards almost hitting several other supercars and Hennessey's other 1000whp+ Ford GT TT.

Burning Brakes
That was VRAlexander.
I read somewhere (google) part of the mod was permanently weld the engines cylinder heads,
because at the boost he is using they would come undone.
I would love to see full details and specks of his 996TT.

That show was ridiculous! Alex's 996 Turbo was insanely fast! I can not believe he walked that 997 TechArt GT Turbo on the back straight. They were both doing upwards of maybe 130 and Alex's 996 Turbo passed the TechArt like it was sitting still. Absolutely amazing!!!!!
