Dresler, you have a different kit that is pretty sweet but I was looking for the GT3 looking aero kit. I had the MK I aero and loved the look but I want the benefits of the MK II 996 and what it has to offer. The GT3 aero kit would top it off.
Tippy, In my bottom picture I posted above of the lid/spoiler, you can see the part no of that lid. It comes complete with the harness and set screws for the adjust table spoiler. The only thing that do not come with it are the angled wedges for the spoiler. I didnt get those cause the wing already produces zero lift at stock angle.

Mike,
Of course Porsche makes and sells an MKII GT3 parts that can be installed on a 996. If that's the question I feel like a fool. You can also bolt on the factory made cup car or RSR wings. All kinds of stuff on these cars are interchangeable.

What I understood the question to be was whether MKII aero kit was offered as an option on the 02+ 996. I think the answer is no. You could order the MKI on the pre-2002 cars and I think you can order the GT3 aero kit on the 997 but I don’t think you could on the 2002-2004.

Tippy, just order the parts, have them painted and put them on the car. You can do it a couple of hours.

Jim,

I am confused too with the question/s I think you're right. But just to clarify the GT3 lid/wing is different from the aerokit for our Carreras. Thats mainly for me and folks confused like me cause I thought for the long while that the air inlet hole for the two were the same I'm sure most of the folks here already know that

But anyway, I think i understand the question now. My friend in Richmond though told me that his Dad's 02 Carrera came with aerokit II from the dealership. I have never seen it yet.

Jim - yes you were correct. I was asking if the kit came on some cars from the factory like the MK I aero kit.

And yes, I DAFS!

Ah man, if there is, I would hold out for one for sure!
Mine has what appears the be the GT3 Aero Kit. I have the code XAA on the factory codes list under the trunk. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

This is the way it came from the factory minus the front techart spoiler lip.

Finally proof of what I suspected all along! I'm full of sh#t! Armed with the correct option code I was able to fine the areokit in the 2003 order guide. Option XAA for $7980. Listed under Exterior Cosmetic.

Sorry for my ignorance. Dam, I could have run it on my racecar.

Here's a shot from the ALMS race at Miller a couple of weeks ago. IMSA supplies the numbers. I didn't pick turquoise!

Its the same aerokit as the turbo because you have a widebody car. I think you might have the first C4S I've ever seen with an aerokit. Very nice!

Thanks, guys.

You would think I would've learned by now to believe just the opposite of what used car dealers say. Factory. Hmmmph.
