I was driving Mount Palomar and the bugger was rattling a little when I pulled off on a scenic view pull out. I just thought it was the clamp that was loose.

Well on the way down the hill all of a sudden the exhaust note changes from nice to rice and I look out my rear view mirror and the exhaust tip plus a little more is bouncing down the side of the road.

So should I take it to a muffler shop or a weld shop to get the exhaust rrepaired? It actually broke off right at the muffler. I'll post pics later..

Palomar Mountain has one of the best roads ever!

I lived in San Diego for many years, and made a trip up there every couple months or so. I used to charge up it and have lunch at that little cafe at the top, then I'd charge down the back side of it and head to Julian and back home again. I miss that place..

 

Rust out? I thhought the muffler was SS?

 

I LOVE palomar...

 

And the projectile....

 

It looks like the weld just cracked through, no real corrosion, I'm betting on vibrations...

I do have to say it was pretty embarassing to drive around like I had a fart can.
