My 40th Anniversary has the C4S style lower spoiler lip and I would like to replace it. I've checked renntech.org and they have instructions for removing the whole front bumper. I'm hoping I don't have to do that and just want to replace the lower lip. Does anyone have instructions?

Pry the u-clamp off. Put the new spoiler on push the U-clamps on.

Loren...I'm pretty dense. What are U-clamps and can you reach them from the bottom of the spoiler lip?

Have you looked at it?
U-clamps are just bent pieces of metal (U shaped) that clamp the spoiler in place.

I did look at it and it's not really clear how it is attached. I think the later year cars have a different attachment method? I'll post a picture of the new lip and from under the car in a couple of minutes.

new lip has square holes for mounting. There is a screw that goes into each end and one tab in the middle.


This is what I see looking at the middle section of the spoiler. I can't see what is going on!

With my 02 C4S, I only had to remove the two screws inside the fender that secures the lip and carefully pull out the lip (undoing the tabs). with the replacement turbo lip, I just popped the lip in place until I heard clicks (the tabs) and inserted the same screw on the edges.
