Hi Everyone ! I just sold my beautiful 1987 944 Turbo this past saturday ....... However, i picked up this beautiful 1999 911 Carrera as a replacement on Monday ! All i can say is WOW... what a car ! It's been a dream of mine for a very long time to own a 911 and it was worth the wait... I can't stop driving it !! I've attached a picture of the "new shoes" i plan to get for it... i'd also like to look into getting a good exhaust, chip/tune, cold air kit, and whatever else i can get my hands on to bump up the power.. Anyhow, I just wanted to share with you guys and as always it's a pleasure to be a member of such a wonder forum !........ On a sidenote, the driver's side front headlight is a little bit faded.. without spending the cash to replace it, is there any sort of cleaner or anything i can get to make it as clear as the other ?? (do they make such a thing ??) A buddy of mine mentioned it so i thought i'd ask.. the other route i thought about is some headlight tint i saw on ebay.. What do you guys think/recommend ??

Thanks

Very nice. Welcome to the fold. Pop on a mkII lip spoiler on her as well. It will make her that much more aggressive looking.

Congrats on the beautiful car - I'm also contemplating the purchase of a '99 P-car. Did you get any kind of 3rd party warranty? If so, what's the name of the company? Thanks

Thanks ! I had checked a little into a 3rd party warranty but didn't get one... If you decide to go with one of these cars you'll love it !

Great color...............................There is a plastic lens cleaner out there, but I don't know how it will do on the headlight lens.
Enjoy,
Patrick

Thanks ! and i agree with you on how "new" the 99's look...... Everybody that's seen it thus far can't believe it's a 99... they think it's much newer... even when i had my 87 944 Turbo people thought it was late 90's or so... these cars just don't look dated at all.

Welcome! I sold my '89 944 s2 when I bought my 911! The 944's looked good for their age, but look like antiques compared to the 996 body, IMHO!

Your aero equipped 99 looks as good as any modern 997 - and I bet most of the non-Porschefiles couldn't tell a 996 from a 997 anyway!

Enjoy the car!
