I will also be at the Tour de Cure, so no WZ for me this Saturday.

BTW, anyone headed over to see the Italians this Saturday? I'm not sure the weather is going to be conducive to the journey, but thought I'd get a feel for who's going from Cary/Apex.

Calling our SCR Racing Guru Mr. Tolin shows respect.....that's good....but calling him "Mr. Tolin Sir" would be even better........

It's Friday night, and the weather is supposed to clear up just in time for our morning coffee at the Wake Zone.

With a couple of the guys at the Tour de Cure, I would imagine that there will be plenty of parking...right in front of the Wake Zone.

See you in the a.m.

From another great way to start a weekend, this week's fun run pix.

Martin, Charles and John M:

John D at the back of this shot:

Here, a young lady sees a car she likes and snaps a photo:

Between replacing a dead camera battery with a charged one and traffic, I didn't manage to get any shots with Bob's car in there picking up the rear. Sorry about that, Bob.

Default Sunny Saturday!

It started out a little overcast this morning, and I wasn't expecting a very big turnout. But, I was very wrong. We had a great group. Here's who was there:

Scott (white C4S)
Dell (Mercedes E-Series)
Kellie and Parker (briefly in their 996 Cab)
Rich (911 Cab)
Charles (blue 996)
Jeff (Grey 996)
John and his daughter Charlene (brown 911 Targa)
Martin (Black C4S)
Michael (Black 911 Carrera)
Randy (Blue 996)
Peter (arena red Boxster)
John (guards red Boxster)

Several of us took a nice drive throught the countryside, where we ran into Ken (grey 928S4) on a bicycle as part of the Tour de Cure. In addition to the Tour de Cure and a drive, George's car was getting an exhaust makeover and Scott was working on his brakes. Busy day for our crew.

Have a great rest of the weekend, everyone.

Bob

It was a real treat seeing the "Fun Run" from another perspective, on a bike going the other way on US Rt 1. I should point out for all concerned readers that the entire line was obeying all traffic laws and not exceding any posted speed limits. I wish I would have had enough time to take a picture.

Nice GTG guys (again)
I would like to point out that most of the guys I know always obey traffic rules and are model drivers concerned with safety and pay attention while on the road. Porsche drivers care about driving. They spend the time to be informed and to concentrate behind the wheel. Most feel the need for speed is best played on a closed course and not on public highways.....

My thumbs up to all of the good drivers.....

We always share these country roads with bicyclists, so we're very careful. Also, several members of our group are bicyclists.
