Detail Damage!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, got my car detailed last week and noticed today that the clock *** is missing and has actually broken the peg!!! Is this part even replaceable or is it an integral piece of the clock assembly? I've already ordered the end piece - $10.86, no problem.
Just one thing after another!!!!!
This week:
Monday - cleaned the TB and then the car wouldn't start right away! Got super paranoid in a flash... started, and ran pretty nice and smooth definite improvement. I then wanted to rev the motor up and it wouldn't go past 4k...it's a tiptronic and after another paranoid post on Tuesday - turned out that this is normal for the tiptronic in park!!! Phew!
Tuesday - Left Bank Cat collapsed! Can you believe it - turned out fine though as the dealer replaced under emissions law. Sweet - things are looking up!
Wednesday - Clock *** missing!! yet more BS to deal with...
I wish I didn't give a crap about the car and I wouldn't have half the worry!!! Anyone else like me?

Mrgroove,
The fix for the clock **** is a bit more that you would expect. Here are the details:
The **** part is orderable from Porsche. It slides over the "stalk" part which extends into the cluster.
The "stalk" is not orderable. I have no idea why.
The stalk is most likely broken off. I broke one cleaning the lens on my cluster once. I had to find another stalk. I went over to my dealer and talked to a mechanic. Not the service manager. The mechanic there kept a bag of parts he would salvage from dead clusters. He had plenty of stalks.
If you can't get one that way, go out to ebay and find a dead cluster. Salvage the stalks out of that.
Either way, you're going to have to take the cluster off and disassemble it to replace the stalk.

What is break fluid? Isn't that what Moses did a long, long time ago to the Red Sea?

Take a look at your shocks....mine started leaking and left a fine light colored oil on the floor. It's too light of an oil to be engine related....look at each shock and see if you can see it dripping down...they periodically blow seals and will leak. If it's a rear shock, you need to replace both.
No...In answer to your question..Moses "parted out" the Red Sea....he didn't "break it"
