haha! I've been thinking about it. Only problem is, I care so much more about mechanical things that I can't stand to spend money on cosmetics. The clear lenses are sexy, though.

Yeah, that's how it starts. A nice, clean, straight C2 for not a lot of money. But sure put some Litronics in there before I take delivery, yes please clear markers, then comes a new exhaust, a CAI, an ECU flash, oh heck let's put some fresh tires on, I hate that four-spoke wheel, ooooh a short shift kit, now I need that shorter shift ****, you know black mats might look nice, no wait black Lloyd mats, the stereo sounds like cats in a rain barrel, should upgrade that, those OEM exhaust tips are ghetto maybe some shiny bigger ones, that curb rash bugs me maybe I should get the wheels refinished, that engine protection plate seems like a good investment...

There are no cheap Porsches. Enjoy.

You are spot on about the CAI, ECU, 4-spoke, stereo, floor mats, and clear markers. Hopefully it'll take a while before I feel like I need Litronics, an exhaust, and a short shift.

Although what I really want is big brakes, PSS9 and a sway bar kit. Maybe I should have bought a C4S.

Park Slope, near Grand Army Plaza.

When I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn, that was such a bad area that my parents would avoid driving anywhere near that arch! Now, $$$ condos. Nice!

Too bad the streets are still terrible in Brooklyn - watch those pot holes!

Yeah, I now take a different route driving to work. I avoid Utica and take Empire instead of Eastern Parkway. I also avoid the right lane, drainage is not my friend.

I learned how to ride motorcycles in Brooklyn on my (now stolen) ZX-7R, which in hindsight was not smart. Driving my (now stolen) MV Agusta around Brooklyn was not too smart either. I'm hoping a 911 is harder to steal than a sportbike.

OMG! I just spoke to the Nate at sunset (ordering rotors). My car doesn't have a options sticker uner the hood, so I asked them about the options and they informed me that my car has a LSD!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!! Now I just have to figure out why someone would order a car with LSD and the soft suspension.

Did ALL early 996's come with LSD, or am I truly a lucky bastard?

Ok, I am looking up more info on LSD's, and I'm reading about the 40% GT3 LSD versus the normal LSD. The dealer said I have option codes 220 and 224, and said it was Automatic + 40%.

I need to drive to a dealer and get a print out, then do some reasearch!

Welcome!!

Clean looking car.

You need short shift and PSS9s with sways as they are worthwhile upgrades. The consensus around here is that stock brakes are good enough for a few DEs per year.
