Default Weird noise , advice needed.

good evening guys

i hear a noise from the rear drivers side at low speed like a clicking sound when the car is rolling only. At idle i dont hear the noise so its not the famous IMS! when a rev the car parked, no noise.

running the car with no throttle the noise is still there, running in neutral while rolling the noise is still there. so the tranny is ruled out.

1) I will swap my rear wheels tomorrow to rule that out. pirelli p zero.

2) i changed my complete exhaust tuesday, not the exhaust.

3) brakes?

what else could that noise be?

thanks

any suggestions where to look ?

drop links are loose. make sure your wheels are on tight.

Emergency brake drum rubbing on driver's side. Apply handbrake while noise is present and see if it changes or is eliminated.

if you've never pulled hand brake while driving please ask someone who has to accompany. If applied at any "normal" speed the car will begin to change direction and yo have to know what to expect. If that noise doesn't occur until you get up to a high speed, take it to a mechanic for a visual inspection.

Of course the first time I taught someone how to do this it was so he could learn how to swap ends 180! (we were in greece and it was 12 years ago, so no legal opinions please)

Check also the CV Joints dirty, worn or dry, I cleaned/regreased mine a while back. The only way to really tell was to run mine up on jack stands to isolate noise. Click on "clicking noise" in this link and see if it seems similar in the video.

Also check wheel center caps to make sure they are not to loose. GL

Another possibility is the wheel bearing may be KO'd.

I would check the wheel bearing the brakes too... and also make sure that your tires are free of little rocks, you dont describe the noise but sometimes if something attaches to the tire it will make a clicking noise only when rolling..
