Default Installed my PSE !

Today after months of internet research i installed the pse along with headers and 200 cats. the sound is incredible. at idle it sounds like a mean 993 and after 4rpm it has this dintinct noise.

i find that its a loud exhaust, its crazy and is still making me smile.

Do the headers and cats make a huge difference? i decided not to add the switch cause i never drive this car to the point that i need peace.

Anyone out there thinking about the pse, its like no other exhaust i heard. the youtube pse clips dont justify how beautiful it really is.

thanks for all your help on the install.

Ben C..you were right buddy, nothing like this noise at low and high rpm, its addictive.

The PSE will also start to sound deeper as it breaks in.

errico, given you haven't gone with the switch, any interest in offloading the wiring, vacuum bits, relay, etc? I bought my pse used so it didn't include the extras but wouldn't mind adding the switch.

Cheers

Eric, that's fantastic. Glad to hear you're happy with the results.

I didn't know your cousin owned maxspeed. Cool to know. Never been there before as I understand they are in Bremerton?

Anyways, if you're around the Seattle area, would love to listen to your car. I only have PSE and the EVOMS intake. I'd like to compare what the sound is with the more aggressive setup you've got.

My favorite is tooling around in 2nd gear or first and then applying a liberal amount of throttle at around 3K up to 5K. It sounds absolutely bad ****, signature Porsche flat6 that keeps me from buying an M6.

ben

i live in montreal quecbec canada and maxspeed motorsports is located here. there are several with close to the same name.

i added the cats and headers because my cousin gave them to me. i have no idea about dynos and stuff but i know it seems to have improve response on the throttle. i have been reserching for awhile between mufflers but what a noise, i need to video it and add it on youtube. i find the 4-5 clips on youtube dont really say it all about the pse.

the only thing that is keeping me from buying a turbo 996 is my natural brown interior ! i cant find a turbo with basalt black with natural brown full interior.

i need to get you guys some clips , if you like the youtube clips i often see posted on rennlist then this sound is a must hear.

thanks for all your advice about pse. lots of money but you really pay for what you get, probably not 2 k but hey thats porsche for you.

At idle it sounds like a 993. my neighbor has a 993 c4s and they are very close it sound, at 4-7 rpm its ridicoulous how it sounds. sweet stuff.

ben

i heard the pse without headers and cats and it was loud enough. My setup i know is different cause it really turns heads at any rpm and my cousin was really surprised with the result. i think its the cats that sort of change it somewhat, how much i have no idea. this week i will video my car in detail giving the guys a true idea of what the pse is. on youtube you here lots of tunnel or garage videos where the sound is echoed. i will video at idle, 1st gear, low rpms, high rpms. it will be in detail , thats the only way to judge.

I would not have bought headers or cats if they were not given to me but i can tell you the response is sort of better.

the cost was 1800 at suncoast for the pse. the price bothered me when comparing to the competition but to my ears nothing compares to pse .

now ill work on the 19 inch wheels!

adding hi-flow cats is like turning up the volume on your PSE... doesn't do much for the tone of the sound.... like a master volume control.... headers change the tone slightly... in a good way...

PSE is already pretty loud... as loud as you want it.... adding the cats may make it too loud for some (personally I love it) but you should really listen in person before spending the $$$

c70pete

when i started the car in the garage for the first time, i knew the pse was serious

IF anyone is thinking about cats, headers, cold air, and all that stuff, listen before you buy !

Any porsche dealer would love to fire off a 997 with the pse, thats you best start.
