Does anybody have any pictures of a 996 with a aero kit however without the tail (guards red if possible). I have all of the pieces except the tail. I am thinking of putting on the bumper and side skirts however I cannot figure out if it will look good. My wife would be much happier if I didn't spend any money on a wing.
Funny how this thread lives on, but it's worthy.
I'm also considering getting "Aero'd" since it looks like I'll be holding on to mine for a few more years....

Porsche doesn't recommend running a car this way; increasing front downforce and not rear.
Main question is how much do you want to spend? They range in price from $1500 for replica to $3500 OEM (suncoast) to $5000 dealer/list price

As for running with sideskirts and front bumper you will not have any issues with handling there I had mine up way north of 100mph without any issues - in fact many people run that way.
...OEM is getting increasingly hard to find, so if you see one snag it quickly. If you read through the threads on this topic from this summer you will see how many people had problems with trying to find good aero wings.

Thanks! It's a '99 and has a little over 62K miles on it. Everything, with the exception of the headlight covers is OEM and in really great shape... I try to look after it - not concours quality, but in better condition than a lot of cars on the road.
The headlight covers were installed by the previous owner. I was told that they were Gemballa parts.

I love the track pictures guys. Thanks for posting them.
Wayne, my Porsche has been parked for a couple weeks due to a slipping clutch. I now have a little more sympathy for you guys who live back east, where 911s can't be driven year around...I'm having Porsche withdrawls. Santa is bringing me a LWFW and I will still need to buy a HD clutch and pressure plate (Spec stage 2). Between that and my project cars, my mod budget is shot. Looking at this post and seeing the parts on a shelf in my garage is as close as I'm going to get for a while.
