I'm pulling mine out as well. Ugly, tacky part in such a nice car.

If you pull out the center part (where the CD's go) it makes for a very clean install for satellite radio.

I used the aux in adapter bought directly from becker as I don't have a cd changer and put the antenna on the passenger side dash up against the windshield. Works great, I love it. I should also say I had this done by a local shop, not myself.

That's a nice install! Any chance you know what they used for the surround piece for it?

It works great, the bezel came with the XM receiver. Off the top of my head it's a Terk commander MT or something like that.

you can place another storage bin which actually has more practicality than the cd storage bin.

I replaced it with the storage console. So it looks like this now.
I didn't need anything else.[/QUOTE]

David,

FWIW, you could mount the XM antenna under the dash LED alarm cover and it would be completely hidden. The antenna lead will route easily to the HU location. I installed a Trafficpro in my 02 C4S and installed the GPS antenna in the same location and it works fine. Was actually the factory location for the trafficpro in Boxsters.

Nice Install!! Demosan
