Traffic Pro Ipod Question

I have a traffic pro radio in my 996. I have a adapter that plugs into the auxiliary port on the radio so that I can hook up my ipod. I hooked everything up however the radio doesn't detect the ipod.
Does anybody know how to use hook up an ipod to a traffic pro?
Thanks,
Steve

Is it just the aux. input that doesn't work or is there no sound at all?

I had to activate the aux input on my Becker unit. Don't recall how I got in the set-up menu but I am sure you could find it here or on RennTech. Mine worked fine once I activated it. It was also hard to find a line out connector to connect to the RCA inputs. Once I found one the sound was much better than the sound from the headphone output.

It appears that the Porsche Traffic Pros Aux ports are more difficult to turn on. I have searched everywhere. Here is the answer:

Try this:
With the radio off, turn it on, set it into Radio mode, and press the Nav button and key 10 at the same time.
When "Becker 1" is displayed, let up on the button, then turn the tuning **** until "AUX OFF" is displayed.
Using the buttons directly below the up and down arrows on the display, toggle the setting from OFF to On. Turn the radio off and back on, and with that, the Aux audio input has been activated and will stay so until the radio loses power.
One other point, is that if your car has Bose, then on the row of 3 connectors on the back of the radio that has the Blue Aux-in connector, the middle connector should be unplugged, but the end connector should remain plugged in the car. The 3rd one is the sense wire to turn the Bose outboard amplifier on.
