Default Lowering front license plate

I helped a new friend buy a 996 cab today. I forgot where I bought a very high quality stainless plate frame that can be mounted lower than than the factory nose job?
TIA!!

Front plate, what's that?

Two months ago, I was parked in Golden Gate Park and it was raining that day. Returned to the car to find a ticket. I was shocked to find it was written by a Seargent who got out of his car in the pouring rain to do it (can you say "month end"). It was for $10 (a lot of SF tickets are $275, I didn't know they had any this cheap) and I had to Google the code when I got home to figure out what it was for...no front plate. I threw it out and never heard from them.

Here is the link for the best front license plate frame you can buy. I had to do a search in the 993 forum but the product can be fitted to 996 as well. BTW, No affiliation.

Wow, that's the easiest way to get your license suspended around here.

That looks like it blocks a good portion of the front radiators. Not that it would matter...but... why add the extra degree of uncertainty?

I was just thinking the same- blocks air to a carefully well designed and tested air flow opening.

I just took the regular plate mount and moved the holes about 1"1/2 to lower the plate just enough so that my cop countermeasures device is hard to see. Easy and looks good!

have not had front plate since 2002... 2002 C2..2004 GT3. A few times I have walked up to my car with an officer looking at the GT3. Twice they asked if I wanted to trade cars :-). We talk about cars and off I go. I know I have been lucky but I will stay with the plugs

Yeah, I haven't had front plates in any of my car since 1997! I've only received 1 ticket for it ever.

That $10 ticket will grow expotentially into a >$100 as time flys by and then when you go to register your car one day, DMV will threaten to suspend your license unless you pay.

Ask me how I know, a $30 ticket for something I 'threw' out turned into a >$360 ticket and they threaten to suspend my license. So yes, I have an ugly front license plate on my 996 and all my other cars.

Why give the cops an excuse to stop you or write a ticket? There are those cops who will use it as an excuse to hassle you.

My daughter once got a ticket for no front plate on her S2000 in Maryland even though the car has NJ plates. And the car was parked, she was no where near it when they ticketed it. Figure that one out.
