Chad, here is a picture that I copied from another post. (bella1, I hope you don't mind) I think the Carrera script would look fantastic on your car. I am waiting on the delivery of my black wheels & I will be installing my MK1 aero kit soon. I might even try the black carrera script on my blue car. Does anybody know where to buy it?

Don't know where to buy it Mark but I remember that grant911 did post pictures of a dark 996 with a light Carrera decal on the side:

Here's the thread:

I'm not sure how the black wheels/decal will look on your car but I thinks it's too dark. Why not go for a lighter wheel/decal color like: orange?

I gotta admit I usually hate things like this. But in this case I think this actually looks pretty cool. If the car is mainly a track car I think it would work particularly well.

not sure which is worse - wanting to apply the stripe or letting your wife veto it! oh well...

It would look a lot better if the black decals were removed........the GT3RS ones

Hwk72, thanks for the links. I'm, still not sure how the all black wheels will look with my car. If I had an all white car, I wouldn't think twice....I would do it. I love the look of the GT3RS. I saw one in person. The stitching on the leather was also orange. It looks incredible.

As someone who has been into Porsches and classic sportscar road racing for a long time, that scheme just "speaks" to me. I REALLY like the striping. But I don't think I could drive it on the street because it's counter to my non-flamboyant ways.

And speaking of historic paint and graphics schemes, I keep thinking how cool that black/orange GT3 RS that's several posts above this one would look if the black was replaced with Gulf Blue...! Does Porsche offer it in that combo?
