Gota911:

Yeah, get ready to drive fast and defensively too! I'm here in business this week and they really are aggressive drivers around here.

I drive in Chicago, my home and get to places like LA - a controlled crazy but DFW and Houston scare me the most.

Nothing about the people here they are just aggressive (The people are great though don't get me wrong - friends and family here)

As a native Dallasite and having attended The University of Texas in Austin, I'd vote for Austin HANDS DOWN

You are correct on the agressive part. I have seen more "triple lane changes" in the past two days than I saw in 6 years in NC. !@#$%^&* pickup trucks!

austin is definitely in the lead for warm winters, and one of my good friends from back home owns a very nice nightclub there as well. Only thing that worries me is the summers, my blood's too thick for all those 100+ degree days.

I'd live in LA or San Diego near full time if it weren't for the time zone and the taxes, NY full time if I hadn't been there since 1980 and the weather wasn't so terrible (and the taxes).

Texas seems ideal being in the middle physically (with cheap, shorter flights to either coast). Is there anyplace in Texas that's cosmopolitan and has good weather for 9+ months?

Riad's right, Tim. Without that, you're just "all hat and no cattle."

And don't eat the bbq.

Them Texans think BBQ is all about dark brown sauce with beef brisket swimming in it.

Actually, I kind of enjoyed it. Was at the '03 SuperBowl for the Panthers and we went to the commissioner's event, then the bbq cookoff of Houston. Absolutely amazing stuff they can do with beef, just like those of us here in the real south can do with pork.

Enjoy yourself. Did you get the job with that special picture site so we can all get benefits?

Welcome back Tim,

I also feel Austin is hands down the best city to live in, in Texas, with DFW coming a close second.......

It's good to be back to REAL BBQ, beef! I never could get used to the pork BBQ in NC. I am not a big fan of pork to begin with, but the vinegar based sauce was horrible. I had Pork BBQ once in 7 years there.

No, we don't need a count down. The end will come soon enough as it is!
