I think the idle sound is a bit odd, although it could be that the camera is not picking up the sound very well. However, I think the car sounds great when the throttle is pressed.

Rode in one at Roebling Road in Jan. I can confirm this car sounds absolutely FANTASTIC. The bark from that flat-6 is goose bump inducing.

That sound is awesome since we are talking about a H6 and not a v8+ high revving engine

Is it me, or did the guy hit the rev limiter from idle in neutral?

Sounds awesome to me - goosebumps indeed.

I know I have the unpopular opinion on this but it just did not do it for me. I would take the sound of a 996-7 with PSE or most after market mufflers. The idle sounded way to rough, like holes in mufflers The revving had that rice burner sound It was for certainly not music to my ears.
I am ready for my beat down now

the only cars that sound incredible to me is the pagani zonda and carrera gt. and throw in a few ferraris here and there with aftermarket exhausts. no 911s. none.

Nobody wants to burn rice, for sure!

It idles rough as if it has some wild cams. All H6's sound like that, however. It sounds good to me, especially at high rpm.

LS is on point. the regular carreras with PSE can compete with the most exotic 911s in the sound dept. i'm not down with the super loud, brappy, race car sounding like 911s.

it sounds like unrefined ****. i tend to like more of the massaged noises. falsetto.

Exactly, I went to two ALMS races last year, and the Porsches (ok, and Ferraris) sound great, and the Vettes/Cadillacs/Mustangs are just loud and obnoxious.

Of course the R10 is almost silent as it goes by... really strange.

Anyway, I dig the clip.
