Great idea, but consider Ventureshield too. I have both types on my car, as they were applied at different times. Ventureshield is more flexible and, from what I hear, less likely to discolor.

In fact, to borrow from an old add, "3M liked it so much they bought the company." 3M recently purchased Ventureshield.

Meh, each to their own. IMO, I am not a fan of the stuff. I even run on the track. It discolors and is a PITA to remove.

However, that's just my opinion. Each to their own.

I can see your point--depends a little where you live too. With the roads up here we contend with lots of construction, junk, etc., so it really beats up the cars.

I like mine on a silver color - it is barely noticeable and it protects the front. IMO well worth the investment - but get a pro to do it.

Do it. The newer films don't normally discolor and I've watched an installer pull it off in one sheet so it could be replaced after substantial damage to the film and no damage to the paint. Definitely want a pre cut product and a good installer. Guys with razor blades hacking on the car can be *very* baaaaad.

Mine came with the car (I bought it used). Mine is Arctic Silver and is almost impossible to see until you are up close. As a Daily Driver it is definitely worth it! If it's only a fair weather Queen you might get away without it. I can see where it has saved my paint a few times (important on a $3,000 paint job option!)
Good luck...

If anyone has seen my earlier posts, I will be picking up a new to me 2003 Cobalt Blue Turbo with 7000 miles in less than a week. I have been working with the dealer to install a 3M clear bra. IMO this is a must if you want to save the front from frequent stone hits. It seems like these cars are a magnet for road debris. I will be driving back 1200 miles from Florida to Ohio so my decision was an easy. Now it's just dealing with the price. The first installer gave me a quote of $1400 when I told him it has the factory Aerokit. Champion Porsche in Palm Beach quoted me $950, which is where I'm leaning towards. Good luck.

$1400 is a ridiculous price. $950 is more in line. I paid $800 for the job on my C4S and I have the aerokit on it as well.
