Default Greetings

Hello all, from Atlanta. I have been lurking on this forum for a while researching my next car. Got a company car late last year so I thought I would consolidate my P-car needs. So I spent the last few months selling off my SC race car, spare parts, and my C2 daily driver.

I have owned half dozen air cooled 911's but I wanted to step up my next race car. In addition to being faster, the ABS will save me about 6 sets of tires a season, and a crate engine is half the cost of rebuilding a 3 liter. Well, at least that's the logic I used to convince my wife this car would save me money in the long run.

This is what I found:

1999 Arctic Silver Aero
1200 miles on new engine
Motorsport oil mods
Race clutch
Headers and custom exhaust
Moton double adjustable club sport 996 GT3
Monoballs
GT3 Springs, Control arms, tie rods, adjustable sway bars
GT3 Shifter kit
Matter roll cage
Sparco carbon fiber driver seat
Momo wheel with removable hub
Many more things I couldn't begin to list here...

Only things missing are LSD, GT3 wheels, and a Pista dash. Will probably invest in data aquisition first to help learn ho to drive this thing, and get in the rest later.

See you all out there!

Came to terms today, check will be cut tomorrow.

It will take a couple of weeks to finish to to race trim. First event is a BMW school in March, and then the club race at the end of March.

OK that does it, I am putting 5 spokes on my car! Than an aero kit with taco wing.

And enjoy drive to work everyday competing with a bunch of psychos driving mini vans, SUV’s and rice burners…

Very nice car.

New engine....great way to start off....most of the cars that have new engines don't have the intermediate shaft, porous cylinder or rms issues. Love the five spoke wheels and the way they go with that car. Congrats on a nice find. I've got a set of the five spoke with Michelin Sports on them that were on my 996 ....won't fit my TT but I wished they would.

Mark, welcome aboard and congratulations on a great looking car. I would love to see some interior pictures when you get a chance.

Mark, The interior is the worst part for me, it is boxter red or something like that. Most of the work now is the saftey equipment inside, and a couple of other things like radio delete for control switches etc. Iguess i need one of those cosole delete thingies too. I'll get pics when it's done.

Hey Mark, I'll be instructing at that school. I need to catch a ride with you.
