Just a quick question for those who have installed 200 cell cats....has anyone done this as the last step (ie. after headers and after mufflers). I've currently got EVO headers and Tubi exhausts...and was poking around searching on upgrading the cats and was wondering if this is portion of the exhaust is the most restrictive? or since I've upgraded the other portions, then its as free flowing at it will be?? Anyone with first hand experience would be appreciated!

most certainly the factory cats are restrictive and replacing them will reduce backpressure. note of caution, replacing the cats with racing 200 cell cats and with your sport mufflers will make your car real loud and possibly contribute to droning in the cabin which is real annoying.

I did the exhaust then 200 cell cat's/headers at the same time. Like Manny G said it is loud. In a cab it would probably by too loud when the top is down.

I have the exact Same Set-Up... what a sound eh?... I wonder how loud it iwll be after Cat-Pipes....

I was wondering the same thing....but it sounds like from the advice, that I'll probably pass since I've got a Cab and do drive with the top down alot. If theres alot of droning etc, then its not worth it for such a small increase (if any) in performance.

How about you do it.... if you dont like ill buy the Cats off you I want my Car to be Louder with out By-Pass Pipes...

trust me it will be LOUDER...but besides the sound the drone can really be annoying. imo the sport cats are really meant for racing application and not the street, especially in these types of cars where there is little performace improvements for the street. as a matter of fact you might be loosing power in the lower rpm range instead of gaining anything.

I did fabspeed sport cats and enjoy the sound especially when the exhaust is hot and we are moving down the straight along the wall:-)

i say don't do it.... low end torque is gone and you will attract the attention of the red and blue......
