Default Dyno'd my 996 today.... Updated with graph

The Raw data was 287hp 256tq on a Dyno Jet. SAE was 272HP from what I recall. I'm waiting for the folks at PFsupercars to send me the file via email. Mods include EVO intake, plenum, GHL, and GIAC. Runs were in 4th gear. 3 runs for $40 is impossible to beat.

I saw for the first time a car dyno 1000+hp and several 700+ cars.

Conditions:

58.77 Degrees F, 29.82 in Hg, Humidity 18%, SAE 0.96

Assuming drivetrain loss of 15% it puts it around 320. 15% for a RWD car is generally somewhat close but it's obviously not an exact science.

ain't drivetrain loss a bit less due tot he quirky rear engine placement?

I don't think so. It's still gears. I don't think the length of the driveshaft has much affect, other than a bit of rotational inertia.

at 15% loss you'll get 337.64 HP at the crank. i've been told that 13% loss is more appropriate. so that means 329.88 at the crank. not too shabby. did you do a dyno run before the mods?

Sounds plausible. I was curious because of all the mods. I know Porsche is conservative about its claimed HP numbers, but you can't help but be interested when you see results well above and there are mods involved.

Nah, I haven't come across P-car Dyno events.
