When I ran at Laguna Saca last month, I met the owner of FDR Motorsports This is were I got them.

I spent 371.42 each for the front, I found them on the net little less. but....$ less does not always mean good deal in my book...FDR has been A BIG HELP!

From what i understand Yes, But I have been told that the 97 is mild enough to run on the street and if so I might not switch out....I will have to see for my self.
What I have to say so far PF packs their break pads like they are glass!! lots of padding

Just got off the phone with Mike at Performance Friction,
He said most Guys flip to stock pads after DE, but some run on the street with the 97.... so stock works
As for the rear FF he said he is getting some calls for the need but not enough as of yet to make new "jig"

I just got the PF dimpled rotors for my 996 (track instructor) and wondered if you had put your setup on the track yet and what you thought???
p.s. I would buy rears too, I was holding off on getting stock rears until I talked to PF... not enough interest??? huh? I would think at least 60-70% of those who bought the fronts would buy rears too ....

Jerry, just a couple questions and a couple comments.
1. Where did you get the complete front setup for a GT3 for $371 per side??? Or is this for a base 996? **I assumed GT3 form the avatar**
2. What are the rears? Stock or PFC?
3. From what I understand, you cannot use any pad other than PFC with the Direct Drive 2-piece rotors. That's ok for me as I love the PFC pad and tried it on stock rotors first before moving to the PFC rotor.
4. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but they are NOT free floating rotors. The dimpled rotors are NOT the motorsport version which does float. The hardware is different to allow it to float and the pricing is about $850 a side to start and then $525 for replacement rotor and hardware (See post #15 of this THREAD as I have run both and offer a FULL explanation as to the differences).

1 the PFC are for my C4 Cab, and I got them from FDR Motorsports
2 Rears are stock
3 This is ok for me as well
4 I did not know that there were 2 types, but looking at them you can see that they are not "free floating"
I will install on GT3 soon..... other mods are in front of the brakes

I figured as much Jerry after looking at the pics you posted more closely (and the forum )
The differences I explain in the thread link I posted. Regardless, the non-motorsport setup is still fantastic! FYI..."looking" at them won't tell you much as you can't tell the difference between the dimpled and slotted setups just by looking. When you pick them up you can feel the movement and the "clinking" sound of the floating design.
