Dragging this thread up again...

Does anyone have weight info between stock and PFC? Doing a search brings up that the PFC are heavier than stock, is this correct?

Thanks...

Thanks, that's for the '3' discs though which are (IIRC) different construction and weights.

The PFC 996 C2 rotor weights are what I'm searching for. No supplier is willing or able to give values, very frustrating!

Edited to say - Found the info, the PFC rotors are 9.2kg each or 20.3lbs, ie what's the point in changing if they're heavier? Think I'll stick with the OEM and save some cash...

My apologies Devrish. I spend my time between the GT3 forum and the 996 fourm and thought I was on the GT3 forum.

I agree, why change if they are heavier! WIth that said, if they are comparable in price and would last longer then if the weight is negligible then it might be worth it,

Talked to a PF employee. If you guys are serious, it would take an order of 10 sets to get a run. You just need a vendor to organize it.

Update from the horse's mouth:
Checked, we've looked at 996 rear rotors and can't fit a 2pc drive
system in the size envelope, so we won't be making them. Whether
that'd allow for a rear setup that eliminates parking brake, who
knows, but the market has to tell us first that that's acceptable.
It's not without precedent, we've done it on the NSX.
