Default Mille Miglia

Hello

Mille Miglia is a company from Australia that manufactures wheels and mufflers. This is about all the info I know.

Does anybody have any experience or heard of this brand of mufflers?
I have done plenty of searching and can't find much on owners with 996 applications.
I have E-mailed the company but no response so far (only been one day).
below is a link to their site

Thanks

I had these a while ago on my bmw 325. They are very cheap! Quality is good I guess as I never had any problems with them. But after a while, I decided to get OEM bmw M3 wheels because these wheels also look cheap. I wouldn't put these on my 996.

We used to carry Mille Miglia wheels but no longer do. The foundry that manufacturers them went under and the Italian courts felt the Mille Miglia name was synonymous with the foundry. So, the name died with the maker. No longer in business.

I have Mille Miglia sport mufflers on my 993 and love the setup. They are not cheap by any strech however as I had to import them myself in to the US which by the time they were installed was upwards of $1800 USD. They are loud (which I wanted)...2nd only to fabspeed supercups. I had both PSE and Gemballa on my 996's (Gemballa's were terrible, PSE was fantastic when plumbed wide open full time). If I were considering for the 996 RUF is first choice (always), PSE 2nd. and Mille Miglia 3rd. The sound has actually gotten better with miles (now 25k at least) but as I said, they are not quiet. They were always an Australian Co. and sold out to High-Tech mufflers who uses the same materials and jigs to make the original product.

Hope this helps.

I was hoping it was about Millie Mighlia, a girl I dated on college. She had the biggest *****.... and those lips.... she would wrap them around..... well, you get the idea!

Thanks for the info.
One of the reasons I was asking is that I have found a pair of used mufflers for $250. One of the mufflers has slight damage (dent) on the intake pipe as well as the tip from a rear end accident.
I thought it might be worth fixing (?) if they were worth it both on a savings from new and quality/sound aspect.
At this point I backed things up in order to ask the experts.
I will admit the name of the mufflers can make the mind wonder off a bit, maybe allot

Tim, over the years I've seen a certain reoccurring theme in your posts, and it's not the 996...

Hi ls911,

This is a belated welcome. I have been traveling for the past two months on business and not caught up with new members. Love your aero and cannot tell from your picture if you have a plastic lip underneath your bumper. It is important that you have it as it helps the aerodynamics and stability during high speeds. If you don't have it, the part number is available by doing a search or we can help you.

Thanks Chao,
I enjoy reading on this site, you get a bit of everything here, for sure some good laughs and a bunch of knowledge.
I am not sure if I have the lower lip you mentioned, I will look and if it is not there I will added to my growing Christmas list (all 996 mods!).
If my wife gives me any crap I pull the safety card on her, ha!

But the theme does contain the number 6 and the number 9, so I thought it would be only 1/3 off topic!
