Yeah you'd need to move to a conical filter to make a GT3 lid fit a regular 996. I'm not sure about the fan and if any retrofitting beside just moving it would be required.

I'm confused...so you have a 3.6L 996 with an OEM GT3 MkII deck lid?? It is an aftermarket cause the OEM has the fan and intake duct on the opposite side.

PM me with you contact phone number. Jake

YES, this is Porsche OEM Aero rear Lid/Spoiler. I'll take a picture of the part no stamp on it.

Cool Here's the part no.

996.512.901.02

You should be able to call Eagleday.com or Brandywine porsche with this no and you'll get the right one for the 996 Coupe.

I got mine from Eagleday. They've always been good to me and a bunch of of porsche owners here in VA.
It comes with the new harness that will not trigger your spoiler light.

Well this just ruined my day.

I have an OEM GT3 decklid in hand (car's in storage till May) and a blade is on its way...

I'm depressed.

For a conical filter... any suggested manufacturers? How about a swap with a stock GT3 airbox?

Should have done your research. Did the seller not ask what 996 P Car you have?

Yup... my bad for not investigating further. The Rennlist member who sold it to me knew I had an '02 C2 and said it would fit. At this point he's not returning my emails or pms.

I thought we had an unspoken agreement here about having 'satisfaction gurantee' to fellow members! I sold a lot of items here and I always tell the buyer not to send me the payment until they tell me they like item, or they could ship it back to me. I trusted every member without payment first. I shipped items without asking for payment!

Shame on whoever this member is if he misinformed you and wont take it back. If I was him I'd take it back but you pay the shipping.

Mike, you are a dime a dozen. Wish all seller and buyers have the same integrity...it will make online transactions so much more pleasent.

If you have anything to sell, please let me know.

so doesn't porsche offer a carrera aerokit wing that is the same look as the oem gt3 wing, but perhaps it's got all the wiring/fan locations in the "right" side?

cuz i know you can get a carrera with the mk2 gt3 aerokit much like the mk1 from the factory

Lexrst,

After market cold air kits sucks air from the inside of the engine bay, so a compromise could be just removing your stock air box upper most channel and just let in breath in air from the inside of the engine bay. The bottom of the airbox also have holes anyways that takes air from the engine bay anyway.
