Hi all,
Still on the fence but 996s with the prices from 99s to 03s are looking great! I'm still nervous though about cost up keep as I'm going to school and working but have a healthy income ...... but 30K$ for low miles or 34-36$K for a 50k mile c4s?! hard to resist!
also considering a awd C350 2008 MB since it has a warrnty ..... not the same I know argh it's abd when you begin making financial choices emotionally lol

I've only purchased lower mileage Porsches and so far they have been very reliable cars. That said ,there are great deals to be had for 996's with higher miles too. I think car condition and repair records are also worthwhile.Flip a coin for a C2 or a C4, you'll have to decide if that's what you want.

You can get some good deals and mitigate your risk ... I have found many 99-00 models with recently replaced engines. The replaced engines come with a 2yr unlimited miles warranty per the Porsche tech. I recently saw one for about $27K on Craigslist with 300 miles on the new motor. Hope you find a good deal!
