Dresler: WTF did I type. Watching the game. I guess I am too old to multi-task. By the way, I grew up in Medfield.

the amv8 is lame looking relative to the other astons esp the vanq s and the dbs. i'd never get the amv8. too cute and round.

and the m6... it's not meant to be a sports car. who cares if it's heavy? it's stinking fast and will leave the lithe 997s in the dust in the straights. it's got a gem of an engine.

it's also got all the latest electronic gizmos to coddle you and it's got looks that attract attn whether you hate it or love it whereas the 997s in stock form is rather anonymous. much more rare too. i like both for what they have to offer.

my order would be m6, 997, am and it's a given when i say all three are world class automobiles.

splittin hairs here

My god, man! You think the AM8 is lame looking? It looks almost exactly like it's big brothers, which is the biggest criticism laid on the AM's--they all look alike. Anyway, park one next to a 6 series BMW. The difference is absolutely *ucking laughable. Like putting Jessica Alba next to Porky the Pig. The 6 is one of the few cars around I'd actually be embarassed to be seen in.

we can continue to type exclamation marks all over our posts !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or just let it be understood that looks are subjective.

m6 would, again, slaughter the amv8 in the straights and i bet you is more reliable and better built.

both great cars again, splittin hairs, but i'd never spend money for the amv8. go big or go home.

So, do you drive a Carrera GT or a GT 3 RS?

these are very different cars with a different purpose: Porsche is a nice car for long drives down the freeway and going out to dinner. They are great on the track. The BMW and AM are great cars for flying down the freeway and going out to dinner. They are not track cars. If I had the money I would have my GT3 and the one of the other two fat cars

M6 = Toyota Solara. What a piece of sh#t. BMW lost their way a long time ago.

The only thing the M6 is good for is straight line acceleration. If you really want that, just buy a Z06 or a Viper.

That's a lot of emotion BMW got out of you with their design. Success.

And just to clarify my stance... I just don't like the AMV8. Its just too cutesy and rounded.

But I do absolutely adore its bigger brothers modified like so:

Great results from the show. The 911 does a better job of putting its power to use.

Not a fan of the AMv8 either.....now if it was the DBS....that would be a different story.
