Correct.....they came as a package noted in the option list as 220 and 222. I've never seen one without the other. Insofar as your option codes go...you should be able to give Loren your VIN number and he has access to a database that he can tell you what options came with that car......at least I think that's what he does.....give Loren a PM.

Thanks to every one who tried to help! I'm starting my search for a 1999 track car and this will help when looking at them. I want a car with a limited slip diff. It would be easy to dismiss a car that I see online that does not have the traction control button.

Let me redeem myself:

There's a sticker under the trunk lid with the codes and VIN printed on it. An exact duplicate of this sticker is in your service book, if the one on the car is missing.

Well, just to add my 2 cents, it is possible to have traction control [traction control system] and ABD [ automatic limited slip differential] (options 222, 224) without LSD [locking differential 40%] (option 220). Ask me how I know?

Safest bet if looking for a car with LSD is not to look at the buttons but to examine the sticker.

I think we were all refering to the 99 C2 "sports car" and not the TIP.

Wow, JR944 car is the first '99 996 I have heard of to have TC and no LSD. I guess having TC is no guarantee that the car will have LSD.

VIN: WPOAA2993X5625912

Go ahead, check it. Sure wish I had 220, but I don't.
