Hi, It is a 1995 C4 with Turbo nose and very bling wheels. It had a bunch of cool mods=RSRs, RoW30, Weiner chip yada yada. I wish I kept it so I could lighten the hell out of it, bolt in a cage, and go tracking. I tracked my C4S this year and had more fun in a friend's light and track prepared 1983 911=very raw/old school.
How many cars do you wish you still had????

That was one of the best looking 993's I've seen. Beautiful - too bad you didn't keep it.

I wish I still had my 67 912 that I had when I was 19-20. Slow, but "raw" and tons of fun. I felt more connected to the road in that car than I have in any other car.

El, the buyer is a Rennlist member from San Diego. You may see it driving around? I went a little over the top with chroming the 18 inch five spoke but they were easy to keep clean! I had a 1968 912 Targa.....wish I still had that one too. The few tracks I drove the 993 on are hilly and very curvy. The all wheel drive and ABD were very fun with track tires! I wish I still had that and my C4S with tiptronic. I hate traffic when I go down to CT and the manual transmission is a pain in the ***. All these people gawk at your car not knowing that your left leg almost needs amputation from lack of blood flow. I do not know how Riad does that NYC commute=I would go insane!

I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for that 993 rolling around.

One thing is for sure- driving fast in older, slower cars is every bit as fun, or moreso, than driving newer, faster cars. I can't really push my 996 on public roads responsibly because it's simply too fast once you get close to the 8 or 9/10ths area. In my 912, I could push the car and drive to my abilities without hitting triple digits between (and during) corners. All that matters, in terms of fun, is that you can push your car to the limits and the car responds- letting you know that it likes it and to go faster. My 912 did that for me. I didn't care if a Chevy Astro could accelerate with me I was still having my fun.

Not mine, but basically exactly like my old one.

Interior shot of a 912. Brings back great memories for me as I'm sure it does for you, too.

El
I bought a red 68 912 in 1975, but then the troubles began. Brakes, electrical, and in need of a valve job for a car that 'looked' perfect, but wasn't. That was my 1st Porsche lesson because I was not an informed buyer @ age 25, but it was the beginning of a need to own P cars again.

Yes, That 912 interior pic is priceless, that nice brushed aluminum, the stuck ashtray, the big steering wheel=no power steering, sliding heat vents that rodents love to ocupy=PRICELESS!
Thanks!
Happy Holidays!

John: Nice looking garage. Did you do the woodwork yourself? Looks great. I like the artwork as well.

John and others: so where do you keep all of your garage crap? I have trash cans, brooms, recycle bins, bike, some 2x4s, hoses, vacuum cleaner, etc...
